Comments
Comments: A MARVELOUS and hard fought day today was had in conditions resembling late april/may and not January 1. This was my antepenultimate grid hike - there is your scrabble word for the day. It should be noted Greeley Ponds XC Ski Trail is a mixed use trail - SNOWSHOES MUST BE WORN ON THIS TRAIL. You cannot, in its current state, ski it, there is not enough snow. Noticable compaction between coming in and out. Once on Mt. Osceola Trail, I just preferred my snowshoes as there was enough snow to warrant their usage and it wasn't rototilled / post holed into complete oblivion. A few spots where boney but short lived. Don't know why you'd opt to not use televators, especially on this trail. I wore them car to car, but did run into a familiar face today who was rockin' their boss crampons down the steeps. Soft in between the peaks, especially closer to Osceola proper summit. Used bypass of the bypass for the chimney. As of about noon - did note one set of older tracks coming from Tripoli (bare boot)

Thats 572 of 576... drip drip drip!
