Nicely packed hard snow for the first three or so miles up to Pierce. In the final .3 or so up to the summit of pierce there were layers of ice that definitely required some traction. Then crossing over to Eisenhower there was more icy areas and crusted snow. I brought snowshoes but did not need them. |
