 | Comments: |
Untracked. An inch or two of fresh snow over mostly hard base, with occasional deeper snow or drifts. We wore snowshoes almost all day. A little before the trail to Goose Eye bears left off the Mahoosuc trail, and right after climbing a set of metal rungs bolted into rock, there was a thin, icy ledge just below a ladder where we changed to crampons, and kept those on until ten minutes or so after leaving the Goose Eye sumnmit. |
