The recent snow covering Reservation Rd was getting slick due to the rising temps, so getting up the steep hill just past the North Mountain trailhead could've been tricky for a RWD vehicle. |

 | Comments: |
The snow last night made Pawtuckaway a winter wonderland, but unfortunately not for very long, as the rapid spike in temperature caused equally fast melting. Except for some scattered patches of wet ground and rocks, the trails were covered in 1-3 inches of wet, sticky snow. Light traction would've been useless due to the balling up of snow on the spikes, so I barebooted the entire hike. With the temps dropping back below freezing tonight, expect icy conditions tomorrow. |
