a perfect blue sky day, wall to wall sun. Ground conditions started as mixed crusty mud and granular snow patches. about half way up, the trail became mostly packed granular snow; microspikes facilitated traction, but were not that necessary. the trail is very modest, manageable for any fit person. views over Winnipesaukee to Belknap range are splendid; from summit views to much of Sandwich range AND Washington (brilliant white sight) very impressive.
