Comments
Comments: quite a mix of seasons today with nice crisp fall air down below and a good shot of winter along the ridge...Trails by and large in very good shape..washed out section of Gorge Brook pretty impressive as are the debris piles by the bridges that amazingly held. Light snow cover most of the way in the shady spots..some ice in places above 4000 feet required careful foot placement but we managed fine without traction aid..Might have used them on Gorge Brook for descent. An amazing mix of clouds..White capped Presidentials glowing in the distance..rime ice above treeline coating everything. Temps and winds in the 20's did not have us linger long at the summit..just a gorgeous day out.
