 | Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Road and lot are both plowed. Parking was tight by 9:30ish when we arrived. |
|
 | Surface Conditions: |
Snow - Trace/Minimal Depth |
|
 | Recommended Equipment: |
Light Traction |
|
 | Water Crossing Notes: |
We opted to brave the Downes Brook crossing - there's no way across without stepping in 2-3 inches of water a few times, but it's doable with water-proof boots and poles. |
|
 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
There is a fairly large tree down across the trail between the water crossing and the logging road. Pretty easy to walk around. |
|
 | Dog-Related Notes: |
Rue the Wonder Poodle had a blast. The last half? mile gets steep, and could be difficult for some dogs (esp. if they don't like ice). |

 | Comments: |
Views were absolutely breath-taking. Ran into very few other folks on the trail, so a good option if you like quieter hikes. |
