Comments
Comments: Well this is a mixed bag. Approach to Welch ledges, some mud, some ice, some leaves, etc. Beyond the initial ledge exposed dry rock (today anyway) dominates the trail up to the summit. Much more significant ice and snow between the peaks and on Dickey. Very icy descent until you are off of the ledges. I had spikes on from start to finish… on Welch wished I had worn my rock spikes, but on Dickey was glad I had a sharp pair. Alfie had no issues navigating.
