Comments
Comments: Used spikes (now rock spikes) for entire hike due to the new 1-2" of powder that covered everything; encountered several locations of hidden ice. Probably didn't need spikes, but also didn't want to take a chance either. Lots of exposed rocky trail at lower elevations (including open water in several locations), but smoother at higher elevations. The steeps of WS consisted of bare rocks, ice, snow and leaves; spikes were all that was needed here. BW off the summits to bag the true peaks.

Also BW over to the summit of Wyatt Hill. But, we could not locate the summit jar, even after searching under trees in the snow. Last report of jar was almost 3 years ago, and it had been newly tied to a tree after the string broke or was chewed. I am sure it is somewhere under the snow, but we could not locate it (nor could we locate the white granite cairn); I am batting 0 for 2 this week finding registers thanks to the recent snow....
