Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Parked at start of Ore Hill Road along side of Gale Chandler. At this location the road makes a 90 degree turn; it is also identified as Ireland on maps. It seems that one may be able to drive a short way further onto OHR to some parking spots, but didn't want to drive low car over snow bank.

Comments
Comments: Great short hike for the afternoon. Roads are super easy to follow. Took Ore Hill Road for about 1 mile almost to the HOL, where an ATV road could be easily located on the right. The ATV road takes one right to the cabin located at the summit. Barebooted entire hike, however, spikes could have been helpful sections of ATV trail with ice flows (these were short lived). Snow levels started at 1/2 inch, and maybe got to 2" at summit. Absolutely beautiful wintery hike up ATV road with evergreens covered in snow. Great fun spotting lots of critter prints in the snow; many deer prints at summit.
