Yesterday's moisture event firmed up overnight, leaving a breakable crust on 2-4" of snow, increasing to 4-8" up high. Snowshoes roundtrip; would have been awful dealing with the crust without flotation. Also, Tenney does plan to open this winter, so postholes are not welcome on ski trails.
