Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Didn’t bother trying, we walked the road and took the bushwhack/herd path. Also decided to just go out/back on Sandwich Mountain Trail so we wouldn’t have to worry about the crossings if we did the loop.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Trail is in pretty good shape considering most of it is in a wilderness area. Couple of easy stepovers.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Jackson the Dog had himself a day, couple of puppy postholes, lots of treats and made some new friends.
Bugs
Bugs: Nah.
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: Dj lost his snow basket on the way up. I found his snow basket on the way down. That’s what friends are for.

Comments
Comments: Nice day with Dj and Jackson out in the woods. Not much snow down low. The new snow is powder with a crust over it, which was helpful for traction on the steep sections. We carried our snowshoes all day, there were only a few short sections where they might have made a small difference, but it was pretty borderline and not worth stopping and switching traction for a few minutes.
