The trail starts with mostly bare ground with some leaves and a thin layer of snowy icy patches. As you get higher, the ice dominates but it's crunchy, so perfectly okay. The solid snow drifts were a welcome respite from the ice. Great views today. We wore spikes the whole way and were glad we did. |
