Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Informal roadside and very limited due to snowbanks with no room for overflow. Appears plow truck are trying to push snowbanks off road to increase parking. We comfortably parked our seven vehicles.

Surface Conditions: Snow - Trace/Minimal Depth, Ice - Blue, Snow/Ice - Frozen Granular, Snow/Ice - Postholes

Water Crossing Notes: Had to cross using rocks. There were a few options.

Trail Maintenance Notes: There is a new log book on the summit! I wrote down Pemi Valley Hikers for the record books.

Dog-Related Notes: Super dog friendly hike popular with locals. Biscuit had a swell time!

Comments: The trail was frozen granular with sections of bulging ice…Hillsounds Microspikes are best under these conditions…I got by with Microspikes having to go off trail in certain areas. Overall, it still feels like winter hiking despite the winter we’ve been having.
