Party of 1, N-bound A.T. from Quintown trailhead. Hiked up the road past the gate at cabin, AT over Eastman Ledge to Cube summit. On return took unmaintained trail from Cube- Eastman col along brook back to log landing on Quinton RD. Conditiins: 2"-4" crusty snow with, in places,a few deeper drifts, bare ledge, and iced over washouts. Microspikes were the right tool. Unmaintained trail on return was easy to follow, with step-over blowdowns here and there. |
