 | Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Jericho Road “trailhead” is a pull off on Route 116. I was dropped off. There is active logging in the area. About a quarter mile in is a big log yard with heavy equipment loading logs onto trucks. The road is quite icy, so I got way off of it when a heavily loaded truck drove by. Parking for Cooley-Jericho Community Forest is maintained and sanded. |

 | Comments: |
Barebooted Jericho Road in 3-4” crusty snow. No recent human traffic evident but lots of critter tracks. Continued barebooting Yellow and Red Trails, the latter an out-and-back. Spikes for the Blue Loop which is quite icy at the moment.
CJCF gets a lot of traffic as evidenced by all the footprints, but I saw no one else the entire hike. These are some nice, multi use trails, including mountain biking and some impressive glades. Now we just need SNOW…! |
