Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: The crossing is open. Long legs can hop right across. Short legs like me, walk across it and be prepared to knock the snowballs off your spikes
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Trail is in great shape. No problematic blowdowns but a couple of trees (about half way up) are creaking and look to be ready to fall down. We went by those quickly.

Comments
Comments: A beautiful hike today. We met less than ten people, which was a surprise given the super weather. What you wear on your feet is pretty much hiker's choice this weekend as it's new snow but not deep enough to posthole. We wore trail crampon pros, saw others in microspikes, and met two hikers who started with snowshoes and switched to spikes. Even with so few people up this trail today, the trail is now in good shape, so if you want a lovely snowy hike tomorrow, highly recommend this one.
