Broke all my trails solo on up-and-back route from Gale River trailhead to Mt Bond summit. There were no other tracks on top of Mt Bond. Fresh powder at just the right depth made for perfect snowshoe conditions. South Twin and Bond summits cleared just before I finished each ascent, providing 360 views of surrounding summits poking up through an ocean of clouds. I didn’t see a soul until I encountered 2 other snowshoers on my way back down Garfield Ridge Trail. |
