Road to upper lot was open, lot with 4-7 inches snow where not driven/packed. Spots available on arrival at 9:45AM. |

A couple of trees down, easily skirted or stepped over. |

Several on trail seemed to do fine. |

Snow from previous day and night on top of packed trail. Trail broken and packed by snowshoes and boots. Microspikes perfect, easy walking all the way up and over and back down. Overcast, no views, gorgeous snow and rime on north side of Starr King, nice traverse over to Waumbek. Great day with little wind and fairly benign temps. |
