Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: I parked at the lot on Route 16 at the Gorham end of the B&M RR bridge, just north of VIP Automotive. The route by the lower walkway on that bridge, which had been closed as of the last edition of the AMC Guide, is now open again. It requires over a mile of roundabout walking on a couple of dirt roads, before you reach the actual Trailhead, but avoids a long drive on Hogan Road,a dirt road that deteriorates as it approaches the trailhead form the east.

Comments
Comments: I hadn't planned on a loop, but the Mahoosuc Trail was very muddy and I had a sudden urge to redline, so I descended by the Centennial Trail, even though I knew that would mean a long road-walk. I didn't know how long - over five miles. I was in luck, however. After I'd walked a mile, an older local gentleman came along in his sedan and gave me a lift all the way to the hydro station - 3.25 miles of road that got steadily rougher.
