 | Parking/Access Road Notes: |
The caretaker at Camp Merrowvista is super cool. A few months ago I came back from a hike starting at the same lot to find a note "one of your tires looked dangerously low, I added some air". |

 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Trail between Flagg and Shaw is more or less a bushwhack. No evidence of saw or axe anywhere between the peaks. GPS highly recommended - even with GPS we lost the "trail" multiple times when working around blowdown or through fresh growth. The trail markers are very old and faded, and mostly have been painted on birch trees, which like to shed their bark... Some are painted on rocks which are covered in snow this time of year. Up to Flagg the trail is much better defined. |
