Recommended Equipment: Snowshoes
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Wolfe Cascade Brook, which is often dry, was open and flowing. Several other drainages were also open. No issues crossing any of them.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: There are several spots on these trails where if you are standing at a given blaze, the next blaze is not visible. This isn't an issue in summer. The woods here, however, are pretty open and in winter the corridor isn't always apparent if unbroken. A few more blazes could be beneficial.

Comments
Comments: I had the pleasure of breaking out this loop this morning. WMUR reported that Bow received 13 inches of new snow from yesterday's storm and I believe it. The snow was a bit like walking in wet cement and progress was slow going, especially on the steep section up to the outlook.

On the return trip I could see that a few people had followed me in. At least one was in snowshoes and another was in bare boots. The walk out was torn up and I bailed over to Woodhill-Hooksett Rd. for better conditions.

Anyway, this is all going to be erased by the next storm tomorrow. Even so, snowshoes are the logical choice here.
