Winter lot across the street was not plowed out this morning or this afternoon on our way out. We parked in the small area next to the Irving Station. |

 | Surface Conditions: |
Snow - Packed Powder/Loose Granular, Snow - Unpacked Powder |
|
 | Recommended Equipment: |
Snowshoes |
|
 | Water Crossing Notes: |
All crossings are an easy step over. |
|
 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
There are a couple of decent blowdowns. Easy enough to step over/around. One duck under on between the two peaks that could be problematic at some point if the snowpack shows up. Trail is well blazed. |
|
 | Dog-Related Notes: |
Jackson stayed home because it was supposed to be cold and windy up top, it was a little chilly but the wind never showed up. Don't tell him he could have come on an adventure. |
|
 | Bugs: |
None. |
|
 | Lost and Found: |
Tom lost his sandwich. I found it. He told me it wasn't his. It was. |

 | Comments: |
Perfect day for Waumbek, post storm with snow covered trees. Mary wanted to practice breaking trail so she and Tutu got a head start on us by about an hour. Between the 4 of us, we laid down a nice snowshoe track and we passed one additional person on our way down. The fresh snow is loose powder so snowshoes are definitely the best traction choice at this time. |
