Old Mountain Road was initially rough, as some folks had attempted to go up without snowshoes. Needless to say, they didn't make it too far. Generally only ski tracks up the balance of Old Mountain Road, turning north onto Crawford Ridgepole. Snowshoe tracks heading southbound to Livermore, but the footbed was not consolidated (and went off trail a few times). I straightened it out in the drifted areas.
Seems like about a foot of new powder with some drifts closer to three feet on the ridge (as well as one brief scoured stretch in the usual place).
Snowshoes or skis are a must. |
