Comments
Comments: About 8-12" of fresh snow from yesterday's storm. With minor drifting at higher elevations after lookout. Snowshoes were the best option. Guy in front of me broke trail in snow shoes for his 2 barebooting friends following behind him, the result was some-what broken trail that was churned up, uneven and very loose. The 2 w/o snowshoes turned around about 1/3 mile before the outlook, From that point to the summit, only snowshoes on the upper trail, and it is setting up nicely. I believe that the lower trail was more packed after both in snowshoes descended but there are some spots of loose snow. It should be good until the next storm, tomorrow. The usual sections with ice flows are still hidden under snow and can be tricky. Hopefully the new snow will cover the remaining few rocks that are still just under the snow.
