Comments
Comments: The access road is well compacted by snowmobilers, that being said please be aware that they ARE allowed to use this access road and do so frequently. Winslow trail appeared to have been broken out by maybe one or a group of two, bare booters. Pretty chopped up, hopefully somewhat smoothed it out with my snowshoes. Because there isn't any snow pack underneath I was constantly scraping my snowshoes on rocks. Barlow trail had not been touched since recent snowfall. Even with snowshoes I was sinking quite a bit, there are some places up high where the wind has caused drifting. Snow was up to mid-thigh. Did my best to stay true to trail. Snowshoes stayed on entire hike. Absolutely beautiful.
