Lovely conditioning hike up to the Black Mountain Cabin and summit. Put on my big boy 25" Lightning Ascents and televatored up to the summit. The trail has been lightly used by backcountry skiers and the snowshoeing is easier if you stay in their tracks. Otherwise, there's a lot of deep powder out there and more on the way. The East Pasture Path also appears to be broken out (I snowshoed down to the Black Mountain Cutoff Tr sign) but decided against following that with another storm on the way. |
