Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Not sure of the parking situation at Lowe’s Store this winter but pretty sure you can’t park there. I was dropped off. Finishing at Appalachia, ours was the only car in the parking lot. That doesn’t happen very often!

Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Lowe’s Path and King Ravine Trail had two blowdowns each. Cliffway had a big walk around on its western end. These trails are all well signed, in beautiful shape and brushed out wide. Thanks RMC!

Comments
Comments: So glad I got out there today for this beautiful, spontaneous snowshoe, about 8.5 miles with 2000 feet of elevation gain. Except for Amphibrach, I broke out all of it solo, so it’s just kinda-sorta broken out. With all the new snow, snowshoes are the only way to go right now.

Lowe’s Path was unbroken since Amphibrach now seems to be the most popular winter approach to Grey Knob and Crag Camp. The lower mile of King Ravine Trail was lovely and trimmed wide enough for skiing. Cliffway had lots of moose tracks and nuggets along with giant footed bunny tracks and those of fox and other small critters. Bliss!

I did an out and back from White Cliff to The Link before continuing on to Along the Brink (they are not kidding!!), Ladderback, and Monoway in my bluelining quest. After visiting Coldspur Ledges and 6.5 miles of trail breaking, I was happy to finish up with a more traveled Amphibrach and its fresh snowshoe tracks.

This is a really nice hike that I highly recommend. :)
