2 inch crust was tough to break through; step crunch, maybe sink, maybe not ;trail chunks churned up versus flattened- freeze thaw will make this worse; unsure how a broken ankle was avoided; no prior trail to follow so I found markings seriously lacking on trees; only made it to overlook; One snowshoes followed and 2-3 bare booters. Trail will not be in good condition imo. |
