Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Surprised to find that the lot on Artist Falls Road was not plowed although it looked like it had been earlier in the season. Even if it was plowed, there would’ve been maybe 2-3 spots. Chose to park at the public lot on Depot Road and walked to the trailhead

Comments
Comments: Snowshoes on start to finish. To the Middle/Peaked junction was broken out, up to Middle was broken out recently but had filled back in a bit and was very crusty. Back up to Peaked was a nice track, down the ledges on Peaked had a faint snowshoe track but was effectively unbroken crust. The BC Connector all the way to the junction with Mason Brook had been untouched all winter so we broke it out; was very deep and crusty. From Mason Brook junction all the way to Black Cap was broken out by snowmobiles but was still soft and churned up. At the Black Cap lot, switches to spikes to go down Hurricane Mountain Road but quickly found that the road was not supportive and I didn’t want to churn up the road, so put the shoes back on. The bottom portion of the road seemed better/more supportive. Saw a guy skiing down Black Cap Trail which looked pretty fun, and a guy on a fat bike on HMR. Bunch of friendly snowmobilers too. A great day in the Green Hills
