Comments
Comments: Interesting day on moosilauke. Gorge Brook is really well packed out until about a half mile from the summit, then things are a little less consolidated. Saw lots of people carrying snow shoes but not using them, which doesn’t make any sense to me. Several groups of tele skiers and a few other snowshoers helped alleviate the damage that barebooters and ‘runners caused with their post holes. Conditions on the summit were difficult in the morning but not impossible with the right gear, was completely socked in with high winds. Things cleared up considerably on the hike back down…I think those who started later ended up having pretty decent views.
