Comments
Comments: I was part of a group of three, then two that started early. 3 hours later we were joined by 3 guys, and an hour after that even more people showed up with an AMC group just behind them. With teamwork and 30 pairs of snowshoes the group transformed the trail from wilderness nothingness to full packed out and groomed highway. Trail to Middle was less deep, but is also properly broken, though less so. The trail from Middle to South remains unbroken. This was difficult snow, a combination of 20" deep powder with 2" thick crust on top that was not enough to support your weight, yet strong enough to grab the toe of your snowshoe and trip you. Good temps and good vibes from everyone. Big team effort.
