I did an out and back to Peaked. Trail was broken out and consolidated, but somewhat lumpy from being churned up and re-frozen. My Hillsounds worked the best. The trough was somewhat narrow and may have been a bit difficult with snowshoes. The other side off of Peaked didn't seem to be traveled as much, so snowshoes would be much better on that side of the loop. Nice sunny morning. Only saw two hikers from Montreal just starting out when I was finishing. |
