Old Mountain Road was rough with plenty of divots and postholes.
Crawford Ridgepole was a disaster with all sorts of deep postholes from barebooters and Microspikers who have little consideration for others. The postholes are currently firmly frozen in place, so I couldn't do much to fix them. Crust can sort of support snowshoes. Footbed not firm enough to adequately support booting.
In short, this one belongs on the shelf until we get fresh snow. Thanks for ruining one of our local hikes, postholers. |
