There were 3 cars when we arrived at 9:15 am. We had trouble backing out upon departure because the tires got stuck in the snow. But this is avoidable. |

The ice was solid and we could walk on it without issue. |

Very quiet day on the trail. We only saw 7 other hikers. All wore snowshoes. We wore spikes. Either would be fine. Highly recommend going up Sandwich Mountain and down Drakes Brook as the former is much stepper and it's much easier to negotiate on the ascent.
I will take this opportunity to thank all those who post here. Your posts are so helpful and relied on for our safe passage especially in the winter! |
