Dog-Related Notes: One happy dog on the trail but not recommended for anyone that collects snow between their toes.

Comments: A prior report suggests snowshoes aren't necessary but several folks on the trail found them useful on the grades. The trail is mostly well packed though there is drifting in places. I used crampons and found them sufficient.
