I planned to start late today to allow for the temps to warm up. After the last couple days of deep freeze, the trail was exactly how I expected, packed solid. I wore my hillsounds from start to finish . The top section where it’s usually a bit of a scramble is completely filled in with packed snow. Super easy to just walk straight up and down it. The conditions are excellent, get out there now ! If you plan to hit the other peaks while up there, you might need snowshoes on the ridges between them. I didn’t notice anyone coming across from Pierce or Webster. The trail to Webster at the junction 1.4 miles in looked packed out. |
