Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment: Snowshoes
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: All bridged or easily hoppable.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Few blowdowns (including one you have to cross twice in each direction) and a couple of duck-unders. But be on the lookout for stumps that stick up in the middle of the trail. They get lost under the snow a bit and are a major tripping hazard.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Lauren seemed to enjoy this one. Lots of great smells though the snow got a little deep for her at times.

Comments
Comments: Trail is chewed up pretty badly down low despite the efforts of whoever posted on Wednesday. Lots of postholes that had then frozen solid so, despite having large snowshoes (25s), our ankles were twisting all over the place. It gradually improved as you went higher. Above about 2000 feet or so the snow was powdery but the winds from the last few days had created drifts that covered up the track from whoever posted on Wednesday so we had to break trail a few times. Seems like the snowpack is less than it should be for this time of year.
