Comments
Comments: It was a beautiful day on our winter Belknap Traverse! First four miles up Rowe and over to Belknap were great and totally doable with microspikes. From there, we fully broke out a completely untouched Round Pond-Piper Link trail with slowshoes, to Mount Klem-Mack Loop (red trail), Round Pond-Mack Trail, and over to Anna on the red trail. Probably a good 6+ miles of untouched trail, now broken out! Someone started down Round Pond-Piper, post holing in the foot’s deep snow for about .5 mi and then turned back (or just lives out there now). We did what we could with that part of the trail. From Anna to Straightback via BRT everything was beautifully packed out. Spikes from there to the parking lot at Major.
