So we pulled up to the parking lot and there were three cars in the lot which we had asked want to move over so we could fit four across as I believe in the summertime if it’s at least five or six cars. We were not expecting so many people, but we saw mostly people snow shoes, which was good for the trail as much as it was packed out there were still some very soft spots that the people who did not have snow shoes on Made it a little bit of a mess. The water crossing was bridge and by the time we got up to the viewpoint, everything still looks good. Closer to the top near the cabin it was very soft as well as all the way over. There are no tracks going to the old Cabot trail, nor were there any tracks going to the Kilkenny Ridge Trail, nor were there any tracks, heading for the short Pond Trail towards the weeks. Also, there was no tracks heading towards the mall, Joe Longhorn, from the summit, which I was very surprised. Very cool to start off, but ended quite warm. |
