 | Dog-Related Notes: |
My dog did just fine and others were coming down, but be very careful at the view points and ledges. The crusty ice on the bald faces is very slippery if they aren't heavy enough to punch through. I recommend leashing before rounding corners to those places. |

 | Comments: |
Microspikes essential. Snowshoes recommended for carry. I used snowshoes on the Crawford Ridgepole Trail section as I was testing a new pair and it was somewhat helpful but not necessary. I did not take the alternate cave route, but some hikers coming down had tried it and said that all the caves were iced-in and that it had been a wasted effort to go that far. |
