Comments
Comments: Mt Shaw Trail was smooth to the Tate Mountain Trail split. After that it was solid, occasionally choppy and somewhat narrow, but actually seemed to improve as the elevation increased.

Black Snout Trail was choppy along its flat section (and unbroken to the west), then choppier out to Black Snout. High Ridge Trail was a packed superhighway, very busy with snowmobile traffic, and very easy walking.

No real sign of snowshoe traffic anywhere [incorrect; snowshoes recently used on lower Mt. Shaw to Tate Mountain]. I carried snowshoes, but never used them.
