Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Took out a shin-banger low on Avalon trail, Mt Tom spur could use a full day's work clearing leaners- I removed a few eye-pokers but left most of the leaners as most were pretty well entangled- I lost count after 12. Easy enough to duck under them for now, a few more feet of snow might make things a bit more challenging. WRT had a couple of higher leaners that just barely tickled the top of my hat on the way by, but nothing too exciting.

Comments
Comments: 'Twas a fine evening for a stroll in the forest. Wore spikes start to finish, trail was a hard-packed sidewalk the whole way, except a few spots towards Willey where the snow had drifted a bit. A few points along the trail seemed like they had melted in the sun and re-froze, and could well imagine they'd be much softer during the day and potentially justify snowshoes- but by the time I came through at about 1AM, everything was pretty well re-frozen!
