 | Parking/Access Road Notes: |
The Willey Station Road is not plowed but the area at the bottom of the road, where it meets 302, has been cleared out nicely and there is lots of parking room. |
|
 | Surface Conditions: |
Snow - Packed Powder/Loose Granular, Snow - Unpacked Powder, Snow/Ice - Postholes |
|
 | Recommended Equipment: |
Snowshoes |
|
 | Water Crossing Notes: |
It's amazing how many little brooks cross the Ethan Pond Tr in the first 1.5 miles. And...each one of them is a pita to cross as you have to steeply descend into it and then climb back out. |
|
 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
The sign at the intersection with the Kedron Flume Tr is missing a piece |
|
 | Dog-Related Notes: |
Saw one who seemed to be having lots of fun climbing Willey.

 | Lost and Found: |
Found one Hillsound on Ethan Pond Trail which I am sure belongs to the nice lady I met with her dog. Email me and I'll get it back to you. |

 | Comments: |
Original destination was Ethan Pond shelter but when I got to the junction with the WRT, it was untouched with deep snow. I went a few yards and decided against it. From 302 to the junction with the WRT there is a snowshoe track that has been really churned up and postholed. I started out in spikes, but quickly changed to snowshoes which worked out a lot better. The trail to Ripley Falls was in much better condition with a pretty nice showshoe track. |
