 | Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Parked in lower plowed lot, holds maybe 6. Upper lot was not plowed; looks like cars attempted to park there, but looked icy. When leaving, 2 cars were across the street in a small lot that could hold maybe 4 cars |

 | Surface Conditions: |
Snow - Packed Powder/Loose Granular, Snow/Ice - Postholes |
|
 | Recommended Equipment: |
Light Traction |
|
 | Water Crossing Notes: |
None, just trickles |
|
 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Trails well marked with red (Red Hill) or blue (Cabin) diamonds, very easy to follow. |
|
 | Dog-Related Notes: |
Cooper and Piper had a great time. Very easy trail for pups. And, they got the bonus of seeing a snowshoe hare escape from under the cabin at the summit, right under their noses; thankfully, much too fast for most pups. |

Nice hill with great views of the lakes. We wore spikes the entire time. Red Hill trail was well traveled, broken pretty evenly and hard after freezing. The less traveled Cabin trail had numerous post holes, and was quite uneven; ankle turner. Most postholes could be avoided with good foot placement. Snowshoes would not have been better since the trail is frozen in place, and may have been worse for the hiker.
Views were great, especially under the very blue morning sky. Big bonus of seeing the snowshoe hare bolt from under the summit cabin.
Eagle Cliff trail is not broken out (from summit). We drove to the Eagle Cliff and Teddie trailheads off of Bean Rd, but neither was broken out from that end either, and the potential lot was not plowed.
