A really nice day for Starr King and Waumbek in that trail conditions are fabulous and the hoar forst was fascinating (I posted photos on my Instagram story). No views due to the cloud cover, but I was not disappointed; I have never seen any views on this hike. There are almost no postholes and the center of the track is firm. Our group chose to wear light traction although you would do just fine in snowshoes as it’s not bony. We saw four other hikers and two grey jays. |
