 | Comments: |
Ski area is set to open on Friday, so uphill access may change. For now, reasonable use is not being restricted.
Many of the ski trails were groomed since the last storm, so they're fairly firm/good going for snowshoes or skins. Occasional rocks and thin spots. Please don't bareboot or Microspike ski trails.
From near the top of the double chairlift, a tracked vehicle had gone up to the communications tower, so I followed those tracks, then broke out a small portion of the herd path, then launched the brief bushwhack to the highpoint (noted snowshoe tracks coming in from the old clearcut). Woods had a breakable crust (with a dusting of snow from last night) on top of maybe a foot of sugar snow.
Partly sunny afternoon with temperatures in the 40s, dropping with the sun. |
