Nice calm day with sun early and clouds filling in. Trail was nicely packed with a loose top, but easily booted with spikes and leaving no postholes. The only place that snowshoes would be helpful is on the cone of Waumbek, but not worth the effort to switch for the short distance. Path to the view point didn't look to be broken out, just several sets of postholes. I only saw two other hikers the whole day. Nice having a conversation with Robert. |
