Comments
Comments: Snowshoed yesterday Trailhead up to Mt Bemis ridge around 3,000' and turned back, trekked to Nancy Cascade which is covered with snow - nice to see but not the ice flow I was hoping for. Came back today to push my snowshoe tracks up to the summit of Bemis and what a bushwhack it was. While I was able to easily follow the Ranger Trail up the initial ridge to ~3,000' and intermittently follow the corridor after, I more-or-less bushwhacked/swam with lots of spruce traps. If anyone wants a nutty winter hike - I laid down some tracks for you - while not the prettiest navigation it will get you there and back! Overall followed the contour of the old Rangers Trail, just very obscure in most places.

The glass containing the summit register on Bemis is shattered, remnants hanging from the string. Canteen was still there though. Neat to see the old wooden Fire Tower as well. Sweet couple of days in the Nancy Brook area and satisfied to have pushed my tracks to the summit. That was a tough one.

Did a quick write up of Mt Nancy and Mt Bemis for which I'll leave the link below if anyone is interested.

Happy climbing!
