Snowshoes and ice axes weren't needed although snow is forecast for Thursday night. Used microspikes to the 1.3 mile marker and a bit beyond. Then changed to big spike crampons for the slough up the steep section to the Osceola pike. Took the bypass to the bypass since the Chimney was solid ice to the second peak. Going down was fun because you can slide most of the really steep sections. |
